Check the Tires, 2003, brass and aluminum, 15x5x10 in.

The mid section of the sculpture, both the pipe and fitting, was once used to put air in your tires at the filling station.  The switch is separate from the main structure.  It also comes from an air hose, and is modified now not to release air but electrons.  The top of the lamp -from a percolator- has the same shape as a rim, the wheel without its tire.  The base resembles a stack of tires seen at an auto garage.
